WhatsApp is making every effort to facilitate this platform for its users. After WhatsApp’s digital payment venture WhatsApp Pay, users will soon start getting facilities related to health insurance and micro-pension products on this platform.
WhatsApp India head Abhijeet Bose shared the roadmap of his new venture plan during the Facebook Fuel for India event. He informed that the company is preparing to launch health insurance products in collaboration with SBI General, while HDFC Pension and Singapore-based firm PinBox Solutions will help in the direction of launching micro-pension products. Abhijit Bose said in his presentation during the virtual event that in partnership with SBI General, WhatsApp will start offering affordable health insurance coverage by the end of this year.
Apart from this, he also announced WhatsApp’s partnership with HDFC Pension and PinBox Solutions, which will start offering micro-pension products through a messaging app.
WhatsApp aims to emerge as a competitive platform for insurance companies and firms offering micro-pension products and make a mark in the Indian financial sector with its new move.
Bose also mentioned that the messaging app will make it easier for Indian users to bring health insurance and micro-pension, no matter where they live and their income.
With over 400 million users using WhatsApp in India, WhatsApp is being made more attractive by providing insurance and pension facilities for them.
